Dr Alistair Cockburn
One of the original authors of the Agile Manifesto. Voted in "The All-Time Top 150 i-Technology Heroes" for his work in Use Cases and Agile Software Development Internationally renowned strategist, author of the Jolt award-winning Agile Software Development and Writing Effective Use Cases, he co-created the Agile Manifesto, the Declaration of Interdepen-dence, the Agile Project Leadership Network and the International Consortium for Agile. Dr. Cockburn is an expert on agile development, project management, process design, use cases, and object-oriented development. Kieran McGowan (Overstock)
Kieran is a Senior Software Engineer with Overstock Ireland based in Sligo. His past postings include Logica, Bluemetrix, Citi, HPE and FINEOS. He was introduced to Extreme programming in the 90's, has witnessed the death of Waterfall and the rise of Agile to where it is today. He feels Scrum may have lost its way a little lately with the recent emphasis on certifications, meetings and reporting.
Richard Mullahy (HPE)
Richard is an Engineering Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Galway. He has been in software development for 24 years in various roles including support, QA, development, consulting, and management. He has been an agile practitioner for 9 years and is a Certified SM, PO and SAFe Agilist. I have been a tester for over 15 years across a variety of different sectors. I joined Smartbox 4 years ago as an SDET and 1 year later took over management of a test team which at the time numbered 4 people. Today Smartbox we have a team of 30 people across 4 locations world wide. My biggest passion is working with talented people who share the same drive to solve the next problem, to build the next solution, to ultimately make that release which will bring great success to the company. Since taking over the management of the QA team I have worked at the heart of our Engineering Bandwidth iniative coupling sensible agile processes with scalable, fast and extensive automated solutions which enable our guys to concentrate on bringing the quality to the fore.

Brian Keenan
Brian Keenan is an Agile Coach who has worked in the Education and Healthcare sectors for over ten years, developing Enterprise Agility at all levels. He’s a strong advocate of Agile methodologies and believes there is no one size fits all when it comes to dealing with diverse individuals, teams and organisations. Fran provides agile/lean coaching, training and consulting to organisations transitioning to agile. Fran also co-founded and grew a successful testing services organisation, Insight Test Services. He is co-organiser of Agile Tour Ireland and a co-founder of the Irish SIG in Software Testing - SoftTest. Brian Sadler (HostelWorld)
I blame Sir Clive Sinclair! My passion for coding was ignited during the home computing industry boom of the 1980s and in particular Sinclair's ZX81 & ZX Spectrum. But despite this, I spent the early years of my professional career working in finance. It was only in the late 1990s when having stumbled across the writings of Steve McConnell (Rapid Development) and Timothy Lister & Tom DeMarco (Peopleware) that I joined the IT industry with a sense of optimism about what software development could and should be. I was already drinking the agile kool-aid. Over the last 20 years I've been a developer, leader, consultant and coach and during that time I have striven to help create working environments where the prevailing ethos and practices are aligned with the values and principles espoused by McConnell, Lister, DeMarco and by extension the wider agile community. In my current position as Agile Coach at Hostelworld I have the privilege of leading a full scale agile transformation, where amongst other things I try to help ignite the same passion in my colleagues that I was so fortunate to acquire all those years ago.

have a Masters (Hons) from University College Dublin in Project Management and straight after college I worked in a typical waterfall environment. Although, once I started using Scrum framework, I immediately fell in love with it. Agile felt right from the beginning. I unwaveringly believe that people are an organisation’s greatest asset and to give team members a voice and create an environment that enables them to be empowered, creative and reach the top of their potential is at the top of my priorities. Following the completion of her MBA, Andrea joined Murex in 2012 after 7 years consulting at major banks in Johannesburg. While consulting, she managed a portfolio of projects and teams, as well as being a career manager for consultants. Currently, Andrea is an Agile Coach at Murex, part of the team responsible for a large scale Agile Transformation, which is revolutionising how Murex develops and delivers its award-winning MX.3 product to its 300+ customers. She is a certified SAFe® 4 Program Consultant, and has facilitated agile workshops and trainings internationally.

Just a few of her favourite memories include celebrating her son’s 3rd birthday with his cake being baked in the sand of the Sahara desert by the Toureg who they were travelling with for 3 weeks, watching giant sea turtles lay their eggs on a Caribbean beach, under a full moon in the Yucatan, sipping drinks on a ship crossing the Atlantic with ice from an iceberg.

Laura Mc Quillan (The Engage Hub)
I have extensive experience working in team, management and leadership roles.
